Pros: FREE, easy to use, EXpress Search Cons: need a bigger library of images
GO.com is a fairly old search engine. Every once in a while, new sites are added to their network. This can expand the search and get the user more results. This is one of the better search engines comparing to MSN and others.
Pros: Easy to Use Cons: Dead links, No incentive to Use, No Speed
I have used the search engine on Go.com a few times before and I emphasize a few because after using it and coming up with dead link after dead link, I decided to do my searches elsewhere. It gives you many web sites but I have found many to be...
Pros: GO guardian, sorting by date Cons: download to search different engines
GO.com is a search engine that I came across while I was in college. Because of some of the classes I was taken, I was assigned many essays and papers that were hard to find information about without being bombarded by pornographic sites and...
Pros: Like the way it searches within criteria easily Cons: not all sites are listed
Go.com, formerly known as Infoseek.com, is in my opinion the best search engine I've used, and I've used several types over the past 3 1/2 years. This engine finds the exact type of sites I am looking for.
Pros: easy to navigate, has a lot of ways to narrow down your search topic, lets you search thourgh audio, pictures, and videos of a certain topic, and more importantley games Cons: there are times that you can get the same site to appear twice in a given search. I like the name infoseek better
Go.com used to be called infoseek, but when Disney and a few other companies merge with them and they change there name to go.com. Fortunately the new owners decided only to change the name, and left the rest alone. Go.com is one of the easiest search...
Pros: Well laid out Cons: Unrelated pages come up in searches
When I first started out on the internet, many moons ago, one of my friends recommended a little site called infoseek.com to me. I tried it, and found it very easy to use. It was simply laid out, had hardly any dead links, and (usually) gave me the exact...
Pros: Good Engine, finds almost ANYTHING Cons: User sometimes has to be VERY specific to find accurate links
There are many search engines out there, and more popping up each day it seems. Many of them are just clones or 'proprietary links' to the more popular ones already established.
As with just about any other product on the internet, there are...
This search engine is just one of countless projects that was much better before Disney got their slimy paws all over it. Go.com used to be much better, when it was called infoseek.com. But then one day, it was Infoseek: part of the GO network. A little...
Pros: Easy to use, can search within the search Cons: As with all searches, there are still some irrelevant sites listed
This search engine is the one I go to when I have a project to begin. Why? Because I can not only put in for my search, but I can do a search within a search to narrow down results. As with all search engines, you still end up with site matches that...
Pros: Great search options, nice portal Cons: Keeps switching names on me
Well, I started using this search engine back when it was infoseek. I must be getting old. But seriously, this is and always has been my favorite search engine on the net.
The one thing that I think really sets GO apart from other search...
Pros: community of users add to the directory. Cons: community of users add to the directory which increase abuse/dead links.
There was a time when I would of preached nothing but high praises for Go.com. Of course at that time I was also an employee. But seriously, Go.com initially started out as a powerful player in the search engine market but has slowly taken turns for ...
I received a paid email to use Go.com. I tried the site and was pleased.
I tried six different searches for my trial. When I entered the various topics, I received the search results very quickly--within seconds. I had received sites that I...
