I'm Pestyside ....
Thank you for reading my reviews! I enjoy writing about gardening, environmental and health topics, pets, and for a break from work I read and review kids' books. In my life I've run nature centers, taught in classrooms, managed a greening school project, and currently enjoy running a children's museum. I'm a sucker for fabulous parks and wilderness areas. My big loves are outdoors, traveling, and yes, two great big labradors that I share with another big love. I hope my reviews help you make informed decisions and make you laugh a little, or groan a little, along the way. I'm only trying to provide one more tool for living happier and healthier lives.

There are three category leads in books and any one of us might respond with your link. I for one appreciate hearing from you to know that it did, or did not, work for you.
A VH Rubric:
Kid’s book reviews must include title, author, illustrator, targeted age, as well as your personal experience with book. When it comes to kid’s books, the illustrator is often as important as the author, especially if they are the same person. Some kid’s books are perfect for 3 and 4 year olds (so don’t even consider those for older readers). Identify the age range these best work for, don’t make readers look.
Adult fiction and non-fiction books must include author and title. Don’t ask me to read to the bottom of the review to find this information.
What about grammar? If you want a VH run it through spell checker and then read it out loud but if you have to update, do before the public sees your review. That’s OK. Don’t trust the spell checker, it doesn’t catch new vocabulary. It also doesn’t catch homonyms, homophones, or homographs. Please break your writing and reviews with spaces between paragraphs and if you do lots of run-on sentences and thoughts and forget to add periods or punctuation and keep writing in a long flow of thought I won’t give you anything higher than a helpful review because that style of writing makes my head hurt and my head hurts easily at this older age especially when my glasses haven’t been renewed for several years although that’s not really your problem but I lose the train of thought like what just happened but anyway please break your writing with spaces, paragraphs and periods with adequate punctuation. Thank you.

Whatever you write, please provide your personal experience and how you felt about the book, otherwise it seems like an ack, book review. If it was a kid’s book, what was the response of the child or how do you think it will work with children.

Personal experience! Details! If you had to train or orient the animal to the product, let me know about the process. If it’s food, I don’t care as much about the entire ingredient list—that’s available online—but if the ingredient list misleads, then yes, by all means mention that. I have bearded dragons, cats, dogs, snakes, turtles, tarantulas, wild birds, hissing cockroaches—I’ve used many products in the database so don’t be surprised if I ask for more clarification. Why did you decide on the product over other products? What were your disappointments? What are the hazards? Do a little research based upon your experience--that’s really valuable information. If there are safety features, if the product claims to provide safety features, I’ll look for your comments on that. Provide a chuckle. Be succinct. (This falls into the category of do as I say, not as I do.) I will leave comments, but if you provide your email address on your profile page (somewhere) I’ll email comments to you before posting them in comments. That seems fairer.
