Where to begin about myself, I'm 28 years old and was recently elected to the PGA as a full member. I just moved to North Carolina and am working at a private course just outside of Charlotte. I went to college here, so it's almost like going home. My dream is to one day qualify for the PGA Championship and play with some of the guys that I admire most.
Now I know most of you probably think that I spend all of my time playing, that couldn't be further from the truth. In the peak of the season, I will be lucky to get in three rounds a week, that may seem like a lot to some folks, but when you spend seventy to eighty hours a week at a golf course and only about twelve of them playing, it gets a little frustrating at times. Now don't get me wrong, I love my job and all of the responsibilities that come with it, I just wish that I could work on my game a little more often.
Some of the perks to working in the golf industry are the free samples and test products I get. I can honestly say that I have hit close to one hundred different drivers in the last year. Those who know me on here know that I switched to the Nike Golf playing staff after six years with Taylor Made, unfortunately that did not work out as well as I had hoped and I returned to Taylor Made. One of my assistant pros has joined the Callaway Golf staff, so we get to play with their new toys as well. Through the years I have found that there are plenty of clubs that will work for different swings, so I like to give everything I try a fair shake so that I can keep my members informed about anything that may help their game. Anything else you want to know, just ask me.
