I am married with three children, the newest being almost 8 months old now (how quickly time flies between changing diapers). I live in the great state of Nebraska though I am not a native. I am mostly from the East Coast and consider Pennsylvania home.
I have been writing with a sense of dedication since I was in the 7th grade. I started off as reporter/photographer for my middle school’s newspaper. My first big article was on Isiah Thomas who was currently playing for the Detroit Pistons. I had a 5 minute sit down interview after a “Just Say No” rally for the middle schools in my school district. It was a great experience even though at the time I had no idea who he was (no kidding). In high school I wrote for the yearbook and started submitting poetry and short stories for publication. I was first professionally published at the age of 14 with some of my poetry and later with several short stories. As life burned the fog of my dreams away I fell away from writing for a period of time.
How I rate
There are rules established to determine how to rate reviews here on Epinions. I agree with them, most of the time. There is something special about Epinions that is somehow lost at times in reviews and that is personality. I am as guilty as the next writer with this. I really enjoy well written, informative reviews with personality. A sense of humor is a big bonus to me too.
If for any reason I have left you a rating that is lower than you feel is fair, let me know. I will check it out again and re-rate it. If the review had some problems with it I almost always leave some sort of comment about areas of improvement. When I first started writing here on Epinions several people helped me out and I hope that I can do the same for you.
Don’t you take anything seriously?
I have been accused of this several times.
I have found that epinions has actually developed into an addiction of sorts for me. I missed writing reviews and reading other's. I realized that I am quite the freak for feedback (I just want to be loved, is that so wrong?)! I love making people laugh with some of off the wall “reviews”. My motivation to write actual reviews more often than not is to keep that last thread of relevance that I have! If epinions were to have an awards show it would be my goal to come in second place in the category of “The most irrelevant but humorous review”. First place seems too ambitious.
If you haven’t joined Epinions yet, I strongly encourage you to. Voice your opinion, make a couple of bucks and have fun! I have been lucky enough to meet some very cool people here. I have had a lot of fun writing about products that I enjoy using, I have made a few (very few sometimes) people laugh at some of my write-offs and contacted people that can further my dreams of a career as a writer.
