Pros: A compelling storyteller, his lyrics will make you think. Cons: Some tracks lack what the rest of his songs have.
It's been years since a real rapper has made it. Although Emp isn't completely world famous yet, it doesn't matter. You don't listen to his music because your friends are doing it. You listen because there is nothing like it.
There are many artists out there, I use the word artist because this is a family site, and this isn't the place to write about how much they've destroyed Hip-Hop. When I first heard The Last Emperor, I was stunned. It had been a long time since I heard anything like him, not since the likes of Tupac.
Bottom Line: If you are a true fan of Hip-Hop, this is the greatest album to grab. Any price is a good one for this. He actually deserves his album to be bought, unlike a lot of others.
