Pros: A wonderful Christian environment to send your child to, so that they may grow. Cons: None from the experience of a camper and a counselor
Yes, I spent my summers from age 8 to 16 at Camp Crestridge for Girls as a camper, the girls camp of Ridgecrest Summer Camps. There is also a boys camp across the highway, Camp Ridgecrest for Boys.

I am a single parent of two children one of which is a now 11 year old son. I sent my son to Ridgecrest last year after doing EXTENSIVE ONLINE RESEARCH for almost four months prior, and based on the word of mouth recommendations of many people that I've...
Pros: The Amazing staff, the whole American Vintage atmosphere. Cons: That it only lasts 9 weeks in the summer.
I really like the different activities my son can do. I also love the campus, completely surrounded by woods, streams, mountains and valleys. My son loved camping out around the camp but when he gets older can't wait to take the little chief test. The ...
Pros: Consistant Christian values, great planned activities, caring staff, a balance of scheduled and free time. Cons: Costly for some families.
I was priviledged enough to go to Camp Crestridge between the ages of 12 and 18. I value the 4 weeks each summer that I was able to attend as a camper and then as a junior councilor. When my daughters were old enough to go away to camp my husband and I ...
Ridgecrest a wonderful experience! by ltoneybree ,Jun 12 '04
Pros: Beautiful mountains, Wonderful Counselors, Well planned activities geared to a childs interest. Cons: NONE
My two children attended Ridgecrest and Crestridge (for girls) camp as small children. All I can say is "WOW!" they both had wonderful experiences. The first year I dropped these two little kids off and I thought they would be so homesick etc. After two weeks, I picked them up and their comment to me was, "Mom, this wasn't long enough! can we please stay longer!!"
A truly wonderful Christian summer camp. I was a single mom and worried about the rejection my children felt from their absentee father. Ridgecrest placed my children with counselors that had been through the same thing and had an understanding for my children. Through these counselor's ministry, love, and devotion all rolled into fun, fun, fun, I have to say Ridgcrest was a high point in my children's lives.
My children are now 21 and 18 years old. One is attending college to become a nurse and one will be attending college in the fall to become a minister. Thanks Ridgecrest/Crestridge! I will never be able to repay you for giving my children this wonderful start!
