Pros: V8Power Comfort Space Style Tow Capability Safety Aftermarket Parts Cons: Braking Paint Quality Turn Radius Gas Mileage The Bottom Line: Recommended w/options I ordered, light colored paint code. Only problems from factory, loose seat bolt, 2 paint scratches, and a an oil filter tightened by King Kong.
I special ordered my Club Cab in September and have loved everything about it since I picked it up. The 4.7L sounds great and has loads of power, the low end torque is a real entertainer. I chose this truck because it is the only non-full size truck...

Pros: I can get rid of it in January. Cons: Horrible mileage for V6, frequent problems requiring service, poor wet road traction The Bottom Line: I wouldn't recommend this truck to anyone. I'm just hoping I can get rid of it before it falls out of warranty. Biggest mistake I ever bought.
In January 2004, we were in the market for another vehicle. Our trusty 95 Maxima was well into the 300k mile range and had finally started showing it's age in the way of worn out CV joints and a whine coming from the engine compartment. Some ...

Pros: It is a nice comfortable ride. Cons: The is a lack of storage and a lack of head room. The Bottom Line: I would recommend this to anyone interested in a practical truck. It is not luxurious, but it gets my commuting done comfortably and reasonably effeciently.
I found what I was looking for in a truck...
We just moved north to a cold, snowy climate and I needed to get rid of my little Chevy S-10 in order to obtain a 4 wheel drive vehicle. I commute about 30 miles per day, so I needed a 4-wheel...

Pros: V8, 4x4, Automatic, Awesome tow capacity, great clearance Cons: come with bad shocks The Bottom Line: Definitely the best truck for the money. Great features and with a 7 year warranty could not be any happier with my purchase.
Best purchase I have ever made. I have been able to get up into the mountains and places I never could have made it with my VW FOX. I got the 16inch wheels and the sport package with the next gen. 4.7 V8. I am getting about 16mpg around town 22 or so...

Pros: Good looking fast truck with lots of extras. Cons: The truck is to light to handle the massive engine under the hood. The Bottom Line: Great if you live in a dry place.
The 2002 Dodge Dakota 5.9L RT is great looking, handles good, has a great full size bed and the interior was well designed to fulfill the needs of the driver. Downside is that the 5.9L V8 will get roughly 17mph on the freeway and a lot less if your ...

Pros: Handles like a dream in dry conditions. Has a powerful engine even with V6. Cons: Needs repairs every 3,000-5,000 miles. Count on it. The Bottom Line: Avoid this vehicle. Too many engine light issues, broken hoses, heating and AC system fails, safety hazzards with wipers and tires.
I wonder if I have enough space for my laundry list of complaints? Let's see: The front left tire snapped off when I was driving and the truck had 12k miles on it. I was lucky I was only going about 30mph at the time. The check engine light comes on ...

Pros: 4doors,lots of power, plenty of leg room for adults in back seat Cons: cant fit a 4x8 sheet of plywood in between wheel wells.
i like the styling of these trucks especially with fender flares and the dodge o.e.m running boards.lots of accessories are available at a reasonable price however the paint is too thin and scratches shine through with the " patriot blue " but the fit and finish from factory was quite good considering my past experience with dodges.overall the best truck I've owned i sure get lots of smiles per gallon...i have to complain about mileage tho factory was about 17-18mpg highway(65mph) so i added: throttle body spacer, air aid cold air intake, edelbrock headers, dual shorty exhaust (turns down at rear axle after dual flow masters)and super chip now i get 23-25mpg . guys at the dealer estimate 300 horse(240 stock),it runs 15.1 on the quarter mile 17.4 stock with all season tires and the sound is amazing!.and the best part is its very responsive and very easy to control in a slide weather its on wet, dry, snow or mud on or off road.

Pros: lots of ground clearance, lots of power, good handling, nice interior, very dependable. Cons: lack of head room, cruise control
The 2002 Dodge Dakota is a really good truck. It is very comfortable. I never get a sore back driving for a long time. The 3.7L engine has lots of power. It likes to shoot you back into the seat when you floor it. The 4x4 is really good. It always got me through deep snow and mud.
The things I don't like about the dodge is the head room. I am 6'1" and I have to duck my head down to drive. the other thing is the cruise control. when you are going up a hill it really kicks down and revs the engine too much. It puts a lot of stress on the drive train.

Pros: A good size. Bigger than other small trucks but not a giant full size Cons: Repairs.
I think the true test of a manufactures quality is how their vehicles perform at 5 years. The truck is great to drive and looks good but is not well built. I do not carry many heavy loads or tow so the truck is not over worked. In 5 years 65,000 miles the fan switch, the upper ball joints, the fuel pump module, inner and outer tie rods, have gone out. (Come on this is a truck that is used lightly and the front end falls apart) Both front calipers froze which resulted in new calipers, rotors and pads. At 3.5 years, 40,000 miles The Rear bumper started to rust from the inside out (verified by the dealer). Chrysler said too bad over the 3 year 36,000 mile warranty. I like driving the truck and if I had traded at about 3 years 36,000 I would have bought another but I wouldn't say Dodge is a wise buy if you hold on to your vehicles for any length of time or carry many heavy loads

Pros: Power, comfort, handling, a smaller truck with a healthy v8 roomy interior interior ergonomics Cons: No 3rd door
The body style of the Dakota is very bold and very good looking. With the factory fender flares, the truck has an aggressive look but can still be driven out on the town. The new body style is not very attractive at all. I bought a used Dakota rather than a new one largely because of the design.
