As a first time mom, I wanted to be prepared for my little one. I had heard that essentials included a bouncer and a swing. With people asking me to add more to my baby registry, I added the Fisher Price Open-Top Rainforest Swing. I had seen quite a ...
Pros: Swings side-to-side as well as front-to-back. Mobile can be moved out of the way!
Cons: A bit flimsier than our older model.
When my second child was born a friend gave us their Fisher

Pros: Fun, colorful, friendly, so many different options of music, baby loves it! Cons: Sometimes baby kicks the tray, so you have to take it off.
This is another shower gift I received. I registered for it because it looked so good online. I started with the crank swing 14 years ago, had a battery swing, now electric!! Awesome! This swing operates by electricity or by 4 "D" sized batteries. I ...
Pros: Bright colors, Wall plug in, Nice music selection, lift up mobile, 2 swing directions Cons: No lights,No toys to play with,Swinging power decreases as the baby gets bigger
First try: When I had my baby everyone told me that it is silly to buy a big swing--it takes up a lot of room and it's annoying to store away. So...I bought a take along swing. I hated it! I had to bend down to put the baby in, banged his head when I ...
Pros: 2-way swing direction, swing away mobile, wall plug option, adorable animals, soft cradle seat Cons: it's a bit pricey
This open-top cradle swing is one of the many items I have from the adorable Fisher-Price Rainforest Collection. My mom bought me this swing as one of my baby shower gifts and even though I didn't register for it, it's one of the things I wouldn't be ...
Pros: Many speeds, multiple directions, great swing. Cons: Bad mobile-it's boring!
This swing is a life saver. Without it I would never be able to eat or even sit down for a few minutes. Our 4 month old son will happily sit in the swing while we do things around the house. It was pretty easy to set up-I was able to do it with my son ...
Pros: The cradle seat truly soothes an unsettled baby. Cons: Carries the same music from the other Rainforest items.
As a mother of a colicky baby, this swing is worth it's weight in gold. My child did not want to sleep in his crib, swaddled, held, on car rides... he just didn't want to sleep, he only wanted to scream. The minute we placed him in his swing and turned ...

I was given the Rainforest cradle swing as a baby gift, I had originally registered for a different one when a friend pointed out to me the best advice ever! SWINGS WILL EAT BATTERIES, SO GET ONE THAT PLUGS IN TO AN OUTLET! This is one of the only ...
Pros: swing away mobile, cool music selection. Cons: Lack of toys/amusement, weak motor, hard to recline
The rainforest cradle swing has a lot of really good attributes so I will start with those first. As we all know most babies love bright colors and this swing is full of brilliant colors for them to look at. The rainforest swing has a few music settings ...
Pros: Bi-directional swing, music, and mobile. Cons: Motor gets noisy over time, and intensity button is loud.
Our baby sleeps soundly in it. The swinging motion keeps her asleep for long periods of time as well. A couple of things Fisher Price could improve on: Swings intensity setting switch makes a loud clicking noise that can wake the baby. Also, over time the motor starts to make noise. I'm not sure what the weight limit is, but my baby is now 12 lbs, and it isn't swinging as much. I guess like with anything the baby will outgrow it. Regardless, it's made my life a lot easier. I highly recommend it.
