Another new start for the MOVIE QUOTE GAME

First one up gives the new quote!

(If Macresarf1 gets here after someone else has posted a quote, he can throw one in anyway since he correctly got the last one in the previous thread.)

RE: Another new start for the MOVIE QUOTE GAME

Okay...I'll play for the first time ever. :)

For some reason this line stuck with me after watching this movie...

"It's called Karate, man. Only two kinds of people know it, The Chinese and The King. And one of them is me."

Hey Julie!

Good to see you over here. I'm afraid I don't know your quote though...

It's from Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.

The best parts of the movie were the cameos, like that one from Jack White.

phungus is right.

I agree the cameos were the best part...I liked the "trippy Beatles" too.

Julie

:-D

I hope you stay around Julie - we could do with a few more active members on the movie boards, particularly the movie quote game.

Now come on Bill... where's that quote?!?!?

NEW QUOTE 6/28

See if you can figure this one out without cheating...

He's an idiot. Comes from upbringing. His parents are probably idiots too. Lorraine, if you ever have a kid that acts that way I'll disown you.

NEW QUOTE 2nd July

Okay I think it's time we had a new quote, so I'm going to provide one (if Patty wants to add one of her own as well that's fine!):

"Who's more the fool, the fool or the fool that follows the fool?"

Sigh...couldn't you have used a quote I know? I don't remember hearing that in any movie I've seen.

:)

That's Lord of the Rings. I think it was from the first one - spoken by Gandalf the Gray.

I don't remember it being in that film... it was spoken by a person and in a movie just as iconic (if not more) than Ian McKellan / LOTR.

Think more sci-fi...

In my best Alec Guiness voice:

Obi Wan Kenobi in the original Star Wars.

I refuse to call it Episode IV A New Hope. When I saw it, it was just Star Wars.

I actually also remember Gandalf the Grey saying it, but I didn't answer because I wasn't sure which LOTR movie it was in.

*sleeper stands to applaud that thought*

That was the first movie I went to see multiple times. Back when theaters were still large with hundreds of people; rather than the shoeboxes they are now . . ..

*sleeper waxes nostalgic and philosophical*

...tom...
.

No worries!!! Just didn't want the game to die off too quickly!!!

As I said, feel free to post a new quote - and of course Mark guessed Star Wars correctly, so to make things more interesting shall we have two concurrent quotes going? (If you're guessing a quote, make sure you mention which one though!!)

I'm pretty sure Woody Allen's character in Antz also uttered the "fool that follows the fool" line too... must watch it again to make sure! :-D
