my husband and I recently bought a bedroom outfit at american furniture. The purchase date was June 19th 2008 we were given 4 estimated dates of receiving the furniture. Half of the furniture arrived in July and we were told that the rest would be here on August 14. Needless to say it did not arrive. My husband called the store and they told him they have no record of when the furniture would be in. In the 2 months I waited for the furniture i had multiple calls to the store and when i asked for the manager to call back i never received the call. My husband finally told the manager we wanted aour money back and they can pickup the furniture. At that point the manager said we would get a check in 5-10 days. I felt that was a bit much to ask so i demanded the money immediately. I did end up with my money and no furniture, however i found furniture the same night i got my money back and will be receiving the furniture in a couple of days. With all the people that have told me of their experiences at American furniture since the beginning of my experience it is a wonder they are still in business. I will never go back there and I work at a large medical office and I have a large family I plan to tell everyone about my experience.
