Easy to Fit Your Stuff

by nad_masters Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100
Jul 19 '08

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Seats are highly configurable, easy to load cargo, control locations
Cons: Fuel economy not very impressive, buzzy engine, gearing at high speeds
The Bottom Line: Fit proves that you don't have to give up space and versatility to save on gas.

Fuel Economy - Not the Reason to Buy Small cars seem to be getting popular now in America, now that fuel prices have soared. With many people trading in their SUVs and small trucks for these cars, it made it harder for my mom to purchase one to ...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 3.0 Recommended: No

Pros: Good handling, amazing versatility.
Cons: Buying it, Not cheap, Not quick, Weak AC, Not for long trips, value
The Bottom Line: If you're paying cash for the base model, go for it. Everyone else should cross-shop the compact competition.

I really wanted to love the Honda Fit. Much of the Automotive press (and Epinions community) have showered love on this little econobox from Honda, calling it "The Car that could Save America," and chastizing the American public for passing cars ...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Surprisingly good handling. Decent performance. Versatile interior. Feature rich for such a small car.
Cons: Expensive for its class. Some cheap touches on the interior.
The Bottom Line: While it's a bit pricey for the class, the Fit combines good looks, decent performance, good handling, and great versatility in a good looking package.

The Honda Fit was not the first car on our list when we started shopping for a replacement for my wife's Mustang GT. However, her reaction of "Oh, that's cute!" and a 20 minute test drive were enough to have the smallest car on Honda's lot following us ...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: High MPG, blue color, leg and head room, gear controls, flexible cargo space
Cons: NEEDS a Telescoping Steering Wheel, Better air controls, paddle shifters are nuisance
The Bottom Line: I bought a FIT for leg & head room, cargo flexibility, MPG, and bright BLUE color for safety. Local dealer could not keep them in stock.

I almost bought a Vibe, but ended up with the Honda Fit. I like the way it looks, and the back seat has lots of room for my 5'10" and growing son! The seats have a fairly flexible adjustable configuration, they even have "Llama mode". When both back ...

2008 Honda Fit Base

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Honda quality and reliability.
Cons: Buy the sport. No armrest!!
The Bottom Line: An outstanding economy car that comes with many options even in base form such as power windows, locks, and A/C.

A word of advice if the 2009 Fit has the same features or lack thereof as in the 2007-2008 base versus sport, buy the sport. The 2008 base model takes some getting used to in the looks department. I installed the sport oem wheels and spoiler, tinted the ...

Honda Fit is great!

Jul 01 '08 - Updated Jul 02 '08

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Economy
Cons: Sight line to speedometer
The Bottom Line: I would buy this car again and will buy more in the future. It meets all of my needs...in-city driving, parking, gas conservation

Initial Motivation I needed to replace a Geo which had been a fairly reliable car, getting me through 4 years of commuting to graduate school. I really liked the smaller car but wanted one that was technically superior (a few more bells and whistles!) I ...

Honda Gives Me A FIT!

by assumenot
Aug 26 '08

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 1.0 Recommended: No

Pros: Good adjustable interior, gas mileage, steering control, and handling.
Cons: Fair ride, hard to clean seats and floor, High Concentration of Volatile, Organic, Compounds
The Bottom Line: Not recommend, being Volatile Organic Compounds that fill the travelers compartment when the heat is on, damage to the respiratory and nervous system may not be worth it.

I purchased the Fit with the quite roomy interior and automatic because my hip, after shifting for 30 years, needed a change. I have been happy with the cars mileage and room. Acceleration is good with one person but, going over mountains loaded is a ...
